Lord Kaos + Mortality + The Veil + Magma One

LORD KAOS

One of Australia’s earliest major black metal bands, Lord Kaos had generated international acclaim by the time of their debut album Thorns Of Impurity, with founding guitarist Astennu going on to relocate to Norway and join both Dimmu Borgir and Covenant.
After an extensive run of dates around the country in 2024 to commemorate the band’s reactivation with Astennu at the helm, Lord Kaos are back to play their first Sydney show of the year ahead of a trip to New Zealand in April. Expect to hear classic material from Thorns Of Impurity and their 1995 demo Path To My Funeral Light, along with a preview of the forthcoming album.

MORTALITY: Having built up a devoted fanbase with their powerful live presence and achieved rave reviews overseas for their seminal 1997 release Structure, Mortality went their separate ways.
Now recently returned after an extensive hiatus, Sydney death-thrash-groove metal legends Mortality are firing on all cylinders with consumate power, and are once again a live act not to be missed.
“Mortality are playing like they never went away. Every song is like a fresh memory, the colossal groove churns the crowd” - Brian Giffin, Hot Metal Magazine.

THE VEIL:

The Veil's distinctive sound draws from both Peaceville Doom and Post-Punk, with elements of Black Metal, Shoegaze and dark folk.
The band has shared stages with Alcest, Anathema, Uriah Heep, and Nazxul among others, and also made an appearance at the cult Dublin Doom Days festival in Ireland. Since their reformation, The Veil have been carefully crafting and road testing their long awaited third album, due later this year.

MAGMA ONE:

Having served in such acts as Grenade, Chaotic Impurity, Infinite Black and Decayed Divinity, Magma One's founding members came together to forge the band's mesmerising progressive retro doom sound.
Armed with expansive songs based on  mystical themes, delivered with unrestrained volume and attack, Magma One bring their Blue Mountains Majik to Darling Nikki’s for a rare Sydney live appearance.
