Ah, the Filthy Fifteen a list that became the gift that keeps on giving for parents, moral guardians, and concerned citizens.

In 1985 Tipper Gore (Wife of former Vice Persident Al Gore) armed herself with a list of 15 songs that were, according to her, the absolute pinnacle of depravity, complete with lyrics that would make a sailor blush and a priest faint.

Tipper’s Filthy Fifteen was a full-on moral grenade used to legislate the requirement for all “offensive” music to label with a warning to all concerned parents that this music would corrupt and warp all sensitive young minds that were subjected to their contents.

Ironically, while Tipper was concerned about the decline of Western civilisation due to lyrics she deemed too “filthy,” most of the songs on the list were, frankly, about as "dangerous" as a Vegemite sandwich. But hey, I guess thanks to Tipper’s list we get to bring you 15 tasty cocktails inspired by these classic songs.
